Terms of Use

Last updated: June 1, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at casethread.ai (the "Site"), operated by Casethread LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company ("Casethread," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Questions about these Terms can be directed to contact@casethread.ai.

1. About Casethread and the Services

Casethread provides AI-assisted document review and analysis services for legal matters. Access to and use of our paid services is governed by a separate written Master Services Agreement and one or more Statements of Work between Casethread and the client, together with our Data Processing and Confidentiality Addendum (collectively, the "Services Agreement"). These Terms govern the Site only. If you are a client, the Services Agreement — not these Terms — governs the Services and any conflict is resolved in favor of the Services Agreement.

2. Not a law firm; no legal advice

Casethread is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on the Site or in our Services constitutes legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is created by using the Site or engaging our Services. Our work supports licensed attorneys, who remain solely responsible for their professional judgment, case strategy, and compliance with their legal and ethical obligations.

3. Nature and limits of AI-assisted outputs

Our Services use artificial intelligence to organize, summarize, and analyze documents. AI-generated outputs are reviewed by our personnel before delivery, but may still contain errors or omissions and are intended to support, not replace, review by qualified professionals. Clients are responsible for reviewing and validating any deliverable before relying on it. We do not guarantee that outputs will be error-free or that any particular result will be achieved.

4. Eligibility and permitted use

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Site. The Site is intended for legal professionals and business use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; interfere with the Site's operation or security; scrape, harvest, or copy Site content except as permitted; or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

6. Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, the Casethread name and marks, and software — are owned by Casethread or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to view the Site for its intended purpose. As between Casethread and a client, the client retains ownership of its own data and materials, and Casethread retains ownership of its technology, platform, models, methods, and know-how, all as set out in the Services Agreement.

7. Confidentiality and privacy

We treat client documents as confidential and handle them under the Services Agreement and its Data Processing Addendum. Our collection and use of information through the Site is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

The Site and Services may rely on third-party tools and services that we do not control. We make no warranty on behalf of any third-party provider and are not responsible for third-party outages or changes outside our reasonable control.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ANY INFORMATION ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASETHREAD AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOST DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE. Any liability of Casethread relating to the Services is governed by, and subject to the limitations in, the Services Agreement.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Casethread and its affiliates from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any legal action arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice.

15. Contact
